William Rudolph “Bill” Rosche
William Rudolph “Bill” Rosche, 92, of Gravois Mills, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He was born Feb. 8, 1930 in Kansas City, Kan., a son of Rudolph Frederick and Marie Wilhelmina (Hurrelbrink) Rosche.
He married Evelyn Ruth Williams Oct. 22, 1954. They shared 16 years of marriage before her death June 8, 1971. He married Clara Jean Seaton Jan. 6, 1990 at Zion Church in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.
He was raised in Kansas City, Kan. and was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Kansas where he was a farmer many years. He later began a career in heavy equipment operations and was a member of Local 101.
The couple retired in 1997 to the Lake of the Ozarks.
He was a member of West Lake Christian Church in Laurie. He was the “Mayor” of his lake community and could often be found on his golf cart patrolling the neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife of the home; sons Kenneth Rosche and wife Kristen of Basehor, Kan. and Scott Rosche and wife Wendy of Lathrop; stepchildren Angela Flores of El Dorado Springs, and Jim Parker and Billee of Kansas City, Kan.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Evelyn Rosche, and brother Ed Rosche.
A celebration of life observance is scheduled 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13 at West Lake Christian Church in Laurie.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Cremation arrangements under direction of Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie.
