The Versailles Rural Fire Protection District recently responded to the following incidents:
Wednesday, Oct. 23, three firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for a report of a grass fire on Highway 52. They arrived on scene and found nothing. Gravois Fire Department found one small spot approximately 1-1/2 miles north of Laurie, possibly the same call.
Thursday, October 24, one firefighter and one apparatus were dispatched to a location on Ritchie Road for standby; call was canceled.
Friday, Oct. 25, one firefighter and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance.
Saturday, Oct. 26, one firefighter and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance.
Saturday, Oct. 26, seven firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched to a location on North Monroe Street and assisted with traffic control for the Bird Run. Units were on scene approximately three hours.
Saturday, Oct. 26, seven firefighters and two apparatus provided public service assistance for Trunk or Treat at the fairgrounds. Units were on scene approximately four hours.
Saturday, Oct. 26, three firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance.
