The Versailles Rural Fire Protection District recently responded to the following incidents:
Tuesday, March 19, four firefighters and four apparatus were dispatched to Bee Sting Hill Road for a natural cover fire. They arrived on scene and found the fire extinguished by the landowner. No assistance was needed. Units cleared the scene.
Wednesday, March 20, four firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance.
Monday, March 25, six firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for a structure fire on West Washington Avenue. They arrived on scene and found a small shed fire. The owner extinguished most of the fire and was satisfied the fire was out. Firefighters used a 1-3/4 hose to cool the hot spots and checked for extensions using the thermal imaging camera. . Units were on scene approximately 17 minutes.   
Tuesday, March 26, six firefighters and two apparatus were dispatched to Highway W for report of motor vehicle accident; call canceled en route.
Tuesday, March 26, four firefighters and two apparatus were re-dispatched for a previous non-injury motor vehicle call. Versailles Rural firefighters provided manpower assistance. Units were on scene approximately 15 minutes.
Wednesday, March 27, six firefighters and three apparatus were dispatched for a report of a rekindled natural cover fire, from a controlled burn the day before on Mystical Lane. They arrived on scene and found approximately two acres burning toward a neighboring home. Firefighters used two blower crews and put in a line around the fire. The fire was allowed to burn to the line and firefighters checked the lines to make sure the fire was extinguished. The units were on scene approximately 34 minutes.
Monday, April 1, six firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for mutual aid to Stover Fire Department at a location on East Second Street for a shed fire. Firefighters were on scene for approximately one hour and 26 minutes.
Monday, April 1, three firefighters and two apparatus were dispatched for a medical emergency on Highway 52.
Wednesday, April 3, six firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance on North Highway D.   
Wednesday, April 3, 12 firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for a natural cover fire on Highway D. They arrived on scene and found fire spreading into the pasture. Firefighters put in a line with rakes and blowers around the fire. The units were on scene for approximately one hour and 31 minutes.
Friday, April 5, six firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for medical assistance on Highway 5.
Saturday, April 6, four firefighters and one apparatus were dispatched for medical emergency on Nebo Road.
