The Versailles golf team is participating in the effort to support the hospitals of the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) by wearing yellow in two upcoming tournaments.
The Tigers will wear yellow “miracle bracelets” and yellow uniforms while playing in the Sacred Heart Invitational Monday, April 15 in Sedalia and the Stover Tournament Thursday, April 18 in Versailles.
The initiative was started by Barbara and Jack Nicklaus and golfers all over the world are wearing yellow and collecting donations to support the hospitals that are part of CMN.
Donations can be made at the high school, to golf coach Kyle Nolawski, or at Rolling Hills Country Club in Versailles.
“We, as a team, are very excited to have the opportunity to raise money for an organization like CMN,” Nolawski said. “They help so many people and we just see this as doing our part to help not only our community, but other surrounding communities, as well.”
Proceeds from Versailles will help the local CMN hospital, which is the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
People interested in donating can contact Nolawski at nolawskik@versaillestigers.org or through the school, 573-378-4697.
