The streets (here, looking west on Jasper Street in front of The Versailles Leader-Statesman office) were packed with people Saturday, Oct. 5 off the downtown square in Versailles following the annual apple festival parade. Hundreds of vendors and thousands of people were out for the Versailles Olde Tyme Apple Festival.TM The weather was stable in the morning, but rain moved into the area in the afternoon, prompting people to seek cover. Rain continued off and on the rest of the afternoon, but festival-goers continued to mill around the square. (photo by Bryan E. Jones)
