Rock ‘n’ Roll
Brian Adkins does a little “light gardening” Thursday, May 14 in a large landscaped garden belonging to Joe Clark at Clark’s residence in Versailles. Adkins has been volunteering to help Clark weed, move landscaping materials, and work with plants. The garden is an ongoing project dedicated to the memory of Clark’s parents and his wife. Adkins has lived in Versailles for approximately one year. He had suffered a grand mal seizure, which reduced some of his muscular control and resulted in his needing to use a walker. He considers gardening “therapy” and comes several times per week to help. He said he believes it’s the people who make small towns special. (photo by Bryan E. Jones)
