Morgan County Clerk Aimee Worthley reminds voters a new voting law is now in effect for all voters in Missouri. A person seeking to vote in a public election at their polling location or during absentee voting will now need to show a photo ID issued by the State of Missouri or Federal Government.
Examples include a non-expired Missouri driver’s license, non-expired Missouri non-driver’s license, U.S. passport or military ID. If a voter does not have one of these photo IDs they will be allowed to vote a blue provisional ballot.
Absentee voting has started for the Nov. 8 General Election, for anyone unable to make it to their polling location on Election Day. Voters can vote absentee at the Morgan County Clerk’s Office, 100 E. Newton St. in Versailles. Voters must present a photo ID when absentee voting.
The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 8 General Election was Wednesday, Oct. 12.
