The 2020 University of Missouri Morgan County Extension Council election began Monday, Jan. 13 and continues through Friday, Jan. 17. Ballots are not being mailed out to residents. However, votes can be cast online at Any Morgan County resident of legal voting age is eligible to vote in this election.

There are seven county residents running for the Extension Council. This election fills seven open positions on the council. The nominees are listed below:

Northern Township (North of Hwy 52) – Four to be elected for two-year terms: Renae Belt, Peggy Huhmann, Greg Schad, and Josh Witte.

Southern Township (South of Hwy 52) – Three to be elected for two-year terms: Joann Billington, Marcel Guhr, and Jenny Richens.

Paper Ballots Available
Paper ballots and ballot box will be available at the Morgan County MU Extension office located in the courthouse in Versailles. All ballots should be mailed or dropped off in the ballot boxes anytime during the election dates. Ballot must be postmarked by Jan. 17, 2020.

The university offers educational programs in such categories as agriculture, food and nutrition, human development, youth development, community and business development, along with various continuing education courses, workshops and printed materials.
