The Missouri Master Gardener program is a horticulture education and volunteer leader training program offered by University of Missouri Extension.
Participants attended classes taught and hosted by MU Extension Specialists and Ozark Prairie Master Gardeners Chapter members Earlene and Dan Britton, Mary Ella Zimmerman, Kevin and Karen Wilson, Joann Billington, Andi Woodson, and Carol Buck.
The graduating class learned basic horticultural principles and environmentally sound gardening practices in a hands-on learning environment.
Traditionally, this class was presented in an indoor classroom setting. This was the first in-person Master Gardener training class since the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In addition to participating in the training, graduates will also provide 30 hours of volunteer service to their community.
Future classes will be offered based on interest and training availability. Contact the Morgan County Extension office for more information or to be added to the list for the next class at 573-378-5358.
