Genelle Booher
Althea Genelle Booher, 85, died Saturday, June 13, 2020. She was born March 19, 1935 at Crossett Camp, Ark., the youngest of five siblings, to David Nelson and Lucinda (Flowers) Smith.

She married Allen Daniel Booher in 1957. He preceded her in death in 2014, after 57 years of marriage.

She graduated in 1955 from Little Rock Baptist School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She worked at the hospital there until her marriage. As an Air Force family, she continued as a nurse in each area they were stationed.
She was a resident of The Lodge in Fayette since early 2015.

She is survived by son Allen Booher and wife Bonnie of Layton, Utah; daughter Dana Battison and husband Ian of Fayette; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Louise Blanton and husband Ed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings Jewell Smith, Masel Smith, Opal Watkins, and Carl Smith.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 23, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Memorial contributions were suggested to Samaritan’s Purse or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
