Food for Morgan County Thursday, March 28 was awarded $950 by Community Foundation of the Lake (CFL) to continue the organization’s goal to “go green.” The funds will be used to purchase energy efficient freezers for the distribution room. Currently, eight freezers need to be replaced. During remodeling of the Food for Morgan County facility in Versailles, items were purchased to reduce utility costs and to work toward more sustainable practices. These items included an on-demand water heater and efficient LED light bulbs.
