Donald U. Edgar

Donald U. Edgar, age 85, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab. He was born September 3, 1935, in Cuba, Missouri, a son of the late Ural and Lena (Bland) Edgar.

On June 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to Ina Mae Moritz, who preceded him in death on October 13, 2019.

Donald owned and operated Golden Business Forms for many years in Golden City, Missouri.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Donald was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. Most of all, he loved time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Sherri Robert and husband Stan of Osage Beach, Missouri, Larry Edgar and wife Leanne of Riverside, Missouri and Lana Kennison and lifelong friend Vickie Benjamin of Oak Grove, Missouri; grandchildren, Amber Roberts, Kendra Roberts and Rocky Edgar; great-grandson, Luke Edgar; brothers, David Edgar and wife Susie of Versailles, Missouri, Oral Edgar and wife Jill of Gravois Mills, Missouri and Timmy Edgar and wife Shelly Eldon, Missouri; sisters, Mabel Weicken and husband Raymond of Versailles, Missouri, Naomi Miller and husband Rick of Otterville, Missouri, Sandra Davenport and husband Harold of Russellville, Missouri and Fern Brown and husband Kenneth of California, Missouri and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Edgar, George Edgar, Paul Edgar, Johnny Edgar and Nancy Edgar.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 26th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles with Pastor Blake Tiemann and David Edgar officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
