Sunrise firefighters get raise, Station 3 open

by Janet Dabbs The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District (SBFPD) Board of Trustees, in a 2-1 vote, passed the district’s 2020 budget Thursday, Dec. 19 during their board meeting. Sunrise approves truck purchase

by Janet Dabbs The Sunrise Beach Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a new or used work truck at their Monday, Dec. 9 meeting. They are looking for a one-ton to a small dump truck. Police Report Sunrise Beach Police Chief Jeff Campbell reported the department responded to 144 calls for service in November.

Jones to be acting Rural FPD secretary, treasurer

M.B. “Doc” Jones has agreed to serve as acting secretary/treasurer of the Versailles Rural Fire Protection District board, following the retirement of Jo Reistad at the end of the year.
