The sophomores and freshmen on the Versailles boys and girls track teams competed in the Osage 9th and 10th Invite Tuesday, April 2 at Osage High School in Osage Beach.
No team scores were kept and there were eight schools entered in the meet.
For the Lady Tigers, Brooklyn Billman finished second in the 1600-meter run (7:14.74), sixth in the 800-meter race (3:16.14), and 11th in the javelin (39-5). Maris Ollison came in third in the javelin (73-1), third in the shot put (29-4), sixth in the discus (62-11), and 11th in the 200-meter dash (35.34). Kyrsten Williams was fifth in the 100-meter dash (15.04), seventh in the long jump (13-3.25), eighth in the triple jump (27-3), and ninth in the 400-meter dash (1:15.64).
The Tigers had two individual champions. Justin Hamrick won the high jump (5-6) and Michael Bell was first in the triple jump (40-3).
In other results, Max Coleman was second in the 100-meter dash (12.04) and second in the 110-meter hurdles (17.64). The 4×100-meter relay team of Bell, Kyle Flieger, Mikhail Gulyayev, and Coleman finished second (48.64). Bell was third in the high jump (5-4) and third in the long jump (17-5.25). Flieger came in third in the pole vault (9-6), fourth in the 200-meter dash (25.94) and 10th in the 400-meter dash (1:04.14). Gulyayev was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (48.54), fifth in the triple jump (33-8), and seventh in the long jump (16-7.75). Gabe Brandon was fourth in the shot put (33-0), sixth in the discus (89-1), and eighth in the javelin (79-5). Nathan Palomarez came in seventh in the shot put (30-3) and 11th in the discus (69-9). Jalen Johnson finished 11th in the 200-meter dash (29.54) and 12th in the 100-meter dash (13.74), 13th in the 400-meter dash (1:14.34).
