Steven Edward Emory, 62, of Sedalia died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home.
He was born Dec. 13, 1954 in Topeka, Kan., the son of Earl Edward and Marilyn Elaine (Miller) Emory, who preceded him in death.
He married Katherine L. Simon Nov. 8, 2003 in Sedalia. She survives of the home.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church Celebration Center.
He built State Fair Qwik Lube and was owner/operator of the business for about 10 years.
He was a Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan and enjoyed auto racing, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Tara Aeschbacher and husband Bruce of Versailles and two grandsons.
Funeral service is scheduled 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia with Pastor Jim Downing officiating.
Visitation is scheduled 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 10, at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Griffin, Joe Miller, Joe Reser, Nick Moriarity, Brian Buso, and Tom Horn.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church Celebration Center or MS Society in care of Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.
