David Dawayne Haile, age 56, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
He was born March 8, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, and son of the late Roy E. and Jewell O. (Brockway) Haile.
On December 3, 2014, in Puerto Rico, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Penny (Patton) Haile.
David was employed at Hainen Ford in Tipton as a car salesman for over thirty years until his retirement.
His favorite hobbies included driving his tractor, traveling, spending time on the beach, and was an avid collector, especially cars and antiques.
He was a member of the Versailles First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Penny, he is survived by his children, Bryan Haile and Jessica Reese and husband Michael all of Rocky Mount, Missouri; granddaughter, Tia Reese; step-sons, Tanner Westhues and Miles Westhues; step-daughter, Morgan Westhues; brother, Gene Haile and wife Lois of California, Missouri; sisters, Gloria Coats and husband Mike of Hughson, California and Pat Hayes and husband Joe of Little Rock, Arkansas and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22nd, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
Graveside services and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
