Cleason “Dean” Lord, 73, of California, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at his home.
He was born Sept. 3, 1944 in Denver, Colo., the son of Cleason Davidson Lord and Laura Ethel (Gooden) Lord. Both preceded him death.
He was first married July 21, 1963 to Judy Albin who preceded him in death March 16, 2010. He later married Oct. 6, 2012 to Denise Claypole who survives of the home.
He was a graduate of California High School. He worked as a supervisor for Cargill for 35 years until retiring.
He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and also attended Salem Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the Dixie Stampede, and doing taxidermy work
He is survived by son Jeffrey Lord and wife Eden of Overland Park, Kan.; sister Barbara Lord of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by infant sister Stella Lord.
Visitation is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, Bowlin-Cantriel funeral home in California, Mo. Funeral service is scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bro. Roy Bernard assisted by the Rev. Steve Jones.
Burial will be in the California City Cemetery.
